Wow man. If a Lebo guy's here and he read this (provided he understands Chinese), he will definitely feel you're being over-generalistic. The truth of the matter is, in Australia, people who are either under-educated (and have little morale and tends to be less than well-off in terms of money) tend to have more babies just to leech off Centrelink. This does not JUST apply to Australian of Lebanese descent.

The only reason you MIGHT see many Lebanese tend to do the above is because many of them, unfortunately, are from poor families and/or under-educated families (and the only reason for this is most of the Lebanese people came here as refugees to begin with). It has nothing to do with the fact that they're Lebanese that they're popping out so many children. In fact, quite a large number of Lebanese-Australian are incredibly sucessful and wealthy (and no, they don't have that many children).

Though does this mean I'm being over-generalistic that people from well-off families or at least EDUCATED families have less children? :p Maybe.....but it does seem to be the trend and the only reason I can think of is people from well-educated background tend to understand a lot better the consequences and responsibilities attached to raising a child. They understand it's not easy and hence, they'll tend to have less children. Anyways...going off topic...
