ie. reached maturity. Yeah. I think that's what the book said. Anyone looking forward to the movie version? I, for one, not really. Especially since they've said they want to euphamise the religious parts - which is ridiculous since the religious part IS what makes "His Dark Materials" so special.

Let it be the unicorn, which glorifies all bona fides and diminishs all malice. It should have silky, smooth silver long hairs over its body, with a slightly extruded but blunt cornu. And let it be fluent in language (!) that I don't understand, say Greek and Hebrew...

Will's world, I believe, is actually our world. So where's the fun in that? Let people see it. Adds just a little bit more fun to life :p

Yeah I think Will's world is our world, because of all the city names and buildings and stuff like that. I would want people to see it- it's like, a free pet.

but dont you guys think that evryone would be able to see what kind of person you are with just a glimps at your daemon?

ex,all servants daemons are gods.....etcetc

Yo, phoenix_of_flame - just a side question, have you ACTUALLY read the trilogy? Or your memory's just hazy?

No, Lyra's world is more like Medieval England by my memory - not 50 years before our world. Not to mention, how can it be our world if people seeing daemons are the norm?

As for people understanding you immediately, not quite. You REALLY think you'll understand a person if, say, his/her daemon is a porcupine? Not really. It depends on your interpretation. It's more of a symbolic representation of your personality. People can interpret it either way - and just as well. That's what people do anyways - just WITHOUT symbolic representation presented before their eyes.

Dust, in our world, is recognised as floating conscience in the air that doesn't take any shapes or forms. They can though - and that's what God and Angels are (in fact, God IS an Angel - the first conscience to form into a physical form and told others that came after it that he created them)
